INGLEWOOD – Officials at Hollywood Park announced plans on Tuesday for a new movie studio and production facility within the mixed-use development adjacent to SoFi Stadium. This facility is anticipated to serve as the International Broadcast Center for the upcoming 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

“The vision for Hollywood Park has always been to create a city within a city, merging media, entertainment, and technology to rejuvenate the greater Los Angeles area,” stated E. Stanley Kroenke, Chairman/Owner of the Los Angeles Rams and developer of Hollywood Park. “We are excited to enhance our involvement in the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games by hosting the International Broadcast Center, welcoming global media outlets during the summer events. Beyond 2028, Hollywood Park Studios will invite a new industry to our live, work, and play destination, bringing a touch of Hollywood to Hollywood Park.”

The first phase of the Hollywood Park Studios project will span 12 acres and feature five sound stages, each measuring 18,000 square feet, with the capability for two stages to be combined into a larger 36,000-square-foot area. Additional plans include a three-story office building totaling 80,000 square feet and a parking structure for 1,100 vehicles, which will feature a 20-foot-high ground-level bay designed to accommodate up to 60 trailers for production needs.

“LA28 is proud to be the first tenant of cutting-edge studio located in the heart of Inglewood, a key venue city for the 2028 Games,” stated Reynold Hoover, CEO of LA28. “The International Broadcast Center will be one of our primary operational facilities for the Games, capturing every inspiring moment of LA28. We look forward to collaborating with our partners at Hollywood Park, the Olympic Broadcasting Services, the International Olympic Committee, and the International Paralympic Committee to create a world-class broadcast hub that will showcase the best of Los Angeles to billions of viewers.”

Ultimately, the project has the potential to feature up to 20 stages and an additional 200,000 square feet of office space.
