Criminal charges of theft by embezzlement, conflict of interest, and perjury are being brought against Curren Price, former Inglewood Councilman and current Los Angeles City Council member, for his alleged involvement in projects with developers connected to his wife’s consulting firm. The charges claim that Del Richardson Price, founder of Del Richardson & Associates, received over $150,000 in payments from developers between 2019 and 2021, before Price voted to approve their projects.

Furthermore, Price is accused of failing to report these connections by not disclosing the income his wife received on government financial disclosure forms. The complaint states that Del Richardson & Associates received six payments from developers who Price later voted to fund or sell city property to. In 2019, Price voted to fund a real estate project involving a developer after his wife’s firm received checks from the same developer.

Similarly in 2021, Price approved the price of a property sold to a developer who had previously written a check to his wife’s firm. Additionally, Price allegedly listed Richardson Price fraudulently as his spouse on city forms from 2013 to 2017, which resulted in the city being bilked out of almost $33,000 in healthcare premiums.

The complaint alleges he used public funds to pay for her healthcare, despite still being legally married to Lynn Suzette Green until he married Richardson Price in 2018.
