Delays have hit two separate projects that aimed to ease transportation to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. These projects are set to employ automated people movers to connect the destinations with the existing Metro Rail system in Los Angeles County. According to a recent report by Fitch Ratings, the LAX Automated People Mover Project, initially scheduled for completion in 2023, is now predicted to be finalized by April 2025. This delay is attributed to ongoing construction setbacks and strained relations between LAX Integrated Express Solutions (LINXS), the builder-operator, and Los Angeles World Airports.
