It is an election year, we must be heard. We must demand action and accountability NOW. We decide on our future. Stand Up!

Together, WE can change this!

We have been here too many times…

Ahmad Arbery, jogging in Georgia, Christian Cooper; bird watching in New York, Tamir Rice, a 12-year old African-American boy, shot by police for carrying a toy gun, and. countless others including now George Floyd.

When the now-former police officer used his knee to pin him down. While George Floyd laid screaming " I can't breathe" same as Eric Garner In New York. Who was also murdered in each of these cases, surrounded by witnesses filming in broad daylight.

For too long, Black families have had to have “the talk” with their children to be cautious around the police. We tell our children – be polite no matter what; no sudden moves; record if you can; remember the name and badge number.

What is the change? We now have tech-savvy kids who are quick to film and upload to social media or “the cloud”. Subsequently what if we didn't have footage of “Central Park Amy” bird watcher Christian Cooper could have been another "Central Park 5"

We call for justice for George Floyd. We are calling for a change of systematic racism that is built into this country.

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
