Inglewood Principal Addresses Viral Video of Fight at Woodworth-Monroe TK-8 School

The principal of Woodworth-Monroe TK-8 School in Inglewood has addressed concerns surrounding a viral video depicting a fight between two girls in a campus restroom. The incident occurred on April 30, and principal Garry Gregory communicated with parents through a notice dated May 1.

In his message, Gregory stated, “I am writing to inform you about a serious incident that occurred on our campus.” He confirmed that two students were involved in a physical confrontation, and that a video of the altercation has been circulating on social media, which also shows at least three other students present who appeared to instigate or encourage the fight.

The specific grades of the students involved have not been disclosed. Gregory urged parents to partner with the school in discussing the serious issues of bullying, fighting, and the dangers of encouraging or recording such incidents.

He emphasized the importance of reinforcing values of respect and safety at home, advising parents to encourage their children to speak up when they witness unsafe behavior and to seek help from trusted adults. Gregory also highlighted the serious consequences of sharing inappropriate content online.

The school community is encouraged to work together to promote a safe and respectful environment for all students.
