It's concerning to see low voter turnout in the city of Inglewood. Every vote matters, and participating in elections is crucial for ensuring that your voice is heard on issues that impact you directly.

1. Elections Have Significant Consequences:

Voting provides you with the opportunity to advocate for the issues that are important to you, such as affordable housing, better schools, government transparency, local jobs, quality of life, women's health, economic justice, and environmental protection.

2. Control Over Public Spending:

Voting allows you to influence how your tax dollars are allocated, including potential increases in funding for healthcare and social services, affecting both citizens and non-citizens. Many people are unaware of how these funds are utilized, so your vote is your voice in this process.

3. Honoring the Past and Upholding Democracy:

Casting your vote is a way to honor the struggles and sacrifices of those who fought for the right to vote before us. It is a commitment to maintaining the ideals of democracy.

4. A Catalyst for Change:

Voting is a powerful tool for driving change. It enables us to support and implement policies that tackle critical social issues, promoting equality, justice, and opportunity for every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Remember, elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 5. If you can't vote in person, mail-in ballots are available. Additionally, Vote Centers will be open from Saturday, October 26, through Tuesday, November 5.
